What Does a Video Cost?

Whether you need to create a promotional video, a new training program or to document your business, JSL Communications offers advice and a flexible pricing structure, from $25,000 to $50,000 and above.

We’ve prepared some “off the shelf” examples to illustrate the price range. Please note that these prices do not include travel expenses.

The $25,000 Standard budget

Pre-Production: A Producer/Director works with you to define the function of the project and the necessary content. After identifying what you need, we draw up a schedule and make all the arrangements. A script is written and approved.
Production: Filming takes 2 days with a 4-person crew, including a Producer/Director, using easily portable DV camera and sound gear to capture the essential elements of your project.
Post-Production: Video editing produces a draft copy for your approval before making a final, polished version. The DVD master is authored (programmed.) A master and 25 DVD copies in boxes with custom designed label and cover are delivered.

The $35,000 Enhanced Impact budget

Pre-Production: A Producer and a Director work with you to define the function of the project and the necessary content. After identifying what you need, we draw up a schedule and make all the arrangements. A script is written and approved.
Production: Filming takes 3 days with a 5-person crew, including a Producer, Director, camera and sound, using easily portable DV camera and sound gear to capture the essential elements of your project.
Post-Production: Graphics and animations are designed and incorporated. Custom music is created. Video editing produces a rough cut (draft copy) for your approval before making a final, polished master. The DVD master is authored (programmed.) A master and 25 DVD copies in boxes with custom designed label and cover are delivered.

The $50,000 Program with Dramatized Scenarios

This would include everything in the Enhanced Impact budget, plus the fees for a writer to create dramatizations, and a Director to work with the professional actors.

Communications Consulting: $1,500 day

JSL Communications will provide you with advice and guidance on the development of your message and project goals.
